Award-winning saxophonist Gilad Atzmon is ‘a master of dynamics and the slow-build, mixing lyricism with Coltranesque squalls, a combination for which he would have a formidabale international reputation as a soloist alone. But his self-appointed mission to restore to jazz a cultural-political clout makes him something considerably bigger’ (Gaurdian). The Quartet play a fascinating mix of Jewish, Balkan and Arabic Styles that has considerable political as well as musical impact.

کوارتت گیلاد آتزمون روز ٢١ فوریه ٢٠٠٦ در آمفی تیاتر گالری برونیی در دانشگاه شرقشناسی ومطالعات آفریقایی لندن (سواس) برگزار می شه.
در مورد آتزمون گفته شده که توانایی بالایی در آمیختن موسیقی عربی٬ یهودی و بالکان داره٬ شاید شنیدنی باشه که آمیزه موسیقی و سیاست٬ منطق و احساس درون٬ اونهم مربوط به این مناطق حساس جهانی به چی می انجامه !!
